Frances Charlene Herrell, 70, of Barboursville, W.Va
Frances Charlene Herrell, 70, of Barboursville, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, with Rev. Fred Ramey officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington, W.Va.
She was born July 19, 1938, in Huntington, daughter of the late William and Myrtle Kitchen Dennison. Mrs. Herrell was employed at Tri-State Prosthetic Center as a secretary for 23 years and a member of First Altizer Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth A. Herrell; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Jill Freeman of Milton, W.Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Tim Absten of Red House, W.Va.; step-children and their spouses, Jerry and Evelyn Philpot of Naples, Fla., David and Darlena Herrell of Proctorville, Ohio, and Kim and Steve Carpenter of Naples; sisters Sue Howard of Huntington, Geraldine (Willis) Gue of Lesage, W.Va., Jesalyne (J.R.) Morrow of Boaz, Ala., and Carolyn (Russell) Johnson of Huntington; brothers Earl (Teaven) Dennison of Chesapeake, Ohio and Roy (Sandy) Dennison of South Point, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, Erin, Morgan and Madison Freeman, Megan and Josh Absten, David, Jarod, Justin, Catlyn, Timmy and Nathan Herrell, and Chris and Renee Philpot; a great-grandchild, Ava Herrell; and a special friend, Brenda Tomblin.
