Scot Hemann, 40, of Lesage, W.Va

Scot Hemann, 40, of Lesage, W.Va., and his constant canine companion, Humphrey Bogart, passed away from injuries sustained in an auto accident, Thursday, October 16, 2008, near Maysville, Ky. Funeral services were held Monday, October 20, 2008, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Minister Alan C. Cole officiating. Burial in Greenbottom Memorial Park, Greenbottom, W.Va.

Scot was born January 22, 1968, in Huntington, a son of Paul and Sue Clary Hemann, of Lesage. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Addie Clary of Lesage, W.Va.; his sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Rob Henry of Hebron, Ky.; and the sunshine of his life, his nephew, Matthew Henry of Hebron, Ky.; an aunt, Jane McColgan of Huntington; cousins, Pam and Scott Mitchell of Tulsa, Okla., and Cindy and Dale Carmichael of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Fred Clary; paternal grandparents, John and Dorothy Hemann; and an uncle, Joe McColgan.

Scot attended Cabell County public schools, Cox's Landing Elementary and Jr. High, and graduated from Barboursville High School, class of 1986. He graduated from Marshall University, class of 1990. After graduation, he moved to the Cincinnati, Ohio area, where he worked in sales and as a district manager for Shock Watch. He returned to the Huntington area in 2005 due to illness. He was an avid golfer.
