Charles "Junior" Peyton, 82, of Milton
Charles "Junior" Peyton, 82, of Milton, went home to be with his Lord and loving wife, Vivian Mae Peyton on Monday, October 13, 2008. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, with Rev. Forest Cummings officiating. Burial followed in the Templeton Cemetery.
He was born November 8, 1925, a son of the late Charles and Mary Peyton. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Howard, Dallas, Jim, Othal, John, and Bill; his sisters, Mary Ann, Joan, Eulah and Dorothy; and survived by one sister, Jean.
He was a long time member of Bias Chapel Church of Milton which he dearly loved his fellow members and his pastor. He was a contractor by trade and retired as a maintenance supervisor of the Chaffin Building. He served his country as a sailor in the United States Navy during World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Danny Peyton (Janice and Sandy) and Doug (Donna) Peyton all of Milton; six grandchildren: Wayne, Greg, Tusha (Chris), Tyler, Kaytlin and Kacey; five great-grandchildren, Hayleigh, Austyn, Brandon, Andrew and Brittany; and a host of loved nieces and nephews.
Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, assisted the family.
