DANA V. BURGER
Dana V. Burger, 78, formerly of Branchland, W.Va., passed away June 7, 2010, in Arizona.
He was born August 22, 1932, in Branchland, son of the late W.S. and Stella Burger.
Also preceding him in death were his first wife, Jewel Burger, sister Helen Burger Adkins and brother Brady Burger.
Surviving are his wife Dana Louise Burger of Arizona; son Gary (Nora) Burger, daughters Becky and Diana, and several grandchildren, all of Colorado; sisters Kathleen Porter and Janith (Odell) Lawson of Branchland and Vilma (Dallas) Swanson of Ona, W.Va.; sister-in-law Edna Burger of Branchland; winters brothers and sisters; and special friends, Bob Adkins and Herb Scites of West Virginia and Jiles Adkins of California.
CORA LEE CHARTER
Cora Lee Charter, 81, of Barboursville, wife of Richard L. Charter, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
She was born on June 13, 1928, in McAndrews, Ky., a daughter of the late Roy and Dora Hackney Alexander.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death one sister, Helen Khoury.
She is survived by one son, Richard L. (Nancy) Charter II; two daughters, Cathy (Stephen) Lloyd of Lexington, S.C., and Candace (Wes) Taylor of Chapin, S.C.; six grandchildren, Allison Ergle, Gregory Charter, Marc Charter, Kimberly Charter, Alexander Taylor and Adam Taylor; one great-grandchild, Sophia Ergle.
Mrs. Charter was a member of the Church in the Valley in Milton and was a retired nurse.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 14, 2010, at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Andy Conner officiating. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Huntington.
The family suggests that donations are made to the Church in the Valley, 1173 James River Turnpike, Milton, WV 25541.

KENNETH BRIAN HASS SR.
Kenneth Brian Hass Sr., 62, of Barboursville passed away Friday, June 10, 2010, at his residence.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Huntington, with Bishop Tony Edmonds officiating.
Burial followed in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
He was born December 26, 1947, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the son of the late William and Enid Lybbert Hass. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Mayo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ninette Sharp Hass of Barboursville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Amy Hass of Hurricane, and Stephen and Lindsey Hass of Barboursville; three sisters and brother-in-law, Arlene Hatch of Ivins, Utah, Joan McGrath of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and Dixie Gibson of Boise, Idaho; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Linda Depew of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Andi and Audrey Hass, Michael Sword and Tashia Cline, and Hayden and William Hass.
He was employed as director of operations for Hurricane Chevrolet, was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he had served as High Councilman.
He was also a member of the board of director of Golden Girls, and a graduate of Morehead State University.

CATHY ELAINE McDIARMID
Cathy Elaine McDiarmid, 60, of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2010.
She was born April 27, 1950, in St. Johns, Michigan, a daughter of Virgil and Vada Halsted of Maple Rapids, Michigan.
She was an employee of WV Quilts, co-director of Appalachian Mountain Ministry, co-director of Christ-like Food and Clothing Pantry and a member of River Cities Community Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Larry McDiarmid; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Lindy Sullivan of Huntington; two brothers, Eric and Naomi Halsted of Warner Robins, Ga., and Dennis Halsted of Maple Rapids, Mich.; two grandchildren, Ashley Lee and Jaspen Sullivan.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville.
AMY LYNN MOORE
Amy Lynn Moore, 40, of Hurricane went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.
Amy was an active member in Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church; she was active with the youth and many other church activities. She loved her church family.
Amy's greatest accomplishment was being a loving and devoted wife and mother.
She was very active with the special needs program at West Teays Elementary School, especially the autism program.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Jane Smith; and father-in-law, Wayne Allen Moore.
Amy is survived by her loving husband, Dr. F. Scott Moore; children, Sarah Lynn Moore and Bradley Scott Moore, both at home; parents, Harold Edward and Hilda Iris Angel of Elkview; grandmother, Edra Burgess of Charleston; mother-in-law, Linda Moore of Belle; and brother- and sister-in-law, Travis and Jill Moore of Huntington.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 16, at Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church, Hurricane, with the Rev. Dr. Dan A. Hogan and the Rev. Jonathan Dierdorff officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
A special thank you for the care given to our wife, mother and daughter goes to Dr. John Frame, Dr. Narender Jogenpally, Dr. Robby Keith, Dr. Kevin Eggleston, Dr. Ziad Kawash, Dr. Jignesh Modi, Dr. Michael Boustany, Bob Gray, and the nurses at 2 Front and ICU at Thomas Memorial Hospital. You all went above and beyond in your care of Amy.

VIRGINIA MAE NICELY
Virginia Mae Nicely, 67, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away Friday, June 11, 2010, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 14, 2010, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial followed in Baylous Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 23, 1942, a daughter of the late Ivan Adkins and Ida Thacker Adkins. She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Lee Nicely Jr.; brother, Allen Adkins; and brother-in-law, Robert Adkins.
She is survived by her companion, Roy Nicely; three daughters, Tina Adkins (Jackie), Terry Hughes (Randy) and Chasity Hammond ( Rod); three sons, Tim Nicely (Mary Sue), Troy Nicely(Violet) and Jason Nicely; four sisters, Joyce Adkins (Charlie), Phyllis Nicely (Eldon), Betty Adkins, Debbie Mace (Chuck); three brothers, Rick Adkins (Phyllis), Gary Adkins and Earl Adkins (LaDonna); sister-in-law, Sandy Adkins; 13 grandchildren, J.J., Jonathon, Batina, Joshua, B.J., Colby, Allie, Evan, Natasha, Jessica, Dakota, Brayden and Abbygail; six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Hailey, Gavin, Aaleigha, Dravin and J.J. Jr.

JOHN WILLIAM
"Johnny Boy" SEPESSY
John William "Johnny Boy" Sepessy, 71, of Hurricane, W.Va., formerly of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away June 8, 2010, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
Johnny is now in the presence of God and has a new and perfect body.
Graveside services were conducted Friday, June 11, 2010, at Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
He was born April 1, 1939 in Cabell County, a son of the late John Sepessy and Blanche Jobe Demidenko. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Fred Demidenko.
Johnny is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Becky Sepessy of Barboursville; two nephews, Joey Sepessy and Bryan Sepessy and his wife Sherri; one great-nephew and five great-nieces.
The family would like to thank Teays Valley Center and Hospice of Huntington for their kindness and care of "Johnny Boy" during the last 10 years.
Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, was in charge of arrangements.
