Cabell Midland boys win cross country state championship

ONA - The Cabell Midland boys cross country team are the AAA West Virginia state champions.
The boys clinched the title on Saturday running in the state cross country meet, which was held at Cabell Midland High School.
Cabell Midland freshman Jacob Burcham lead the Knights by finishing No. 6. He was followed close behind by teammate Tyler Salmonts who finished No. 7.
Jefferson High School's boys finished second in class AAA, while Fairmont Senior finished third in AAA.
Cabell Midland's girls team finished fifth in the girl's state meet, also held at Midland.
Freshman Jorden Thornton led the lady Knights by finishing fourth overall.
Jefferson High School's girls team won the girls state title.
